🗣️𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑: In A Sense Of Gratitude, Biren Banerjee celebrates the lives of his ancestors in an India that is long past but that echoes strongly in the modern world. He depicts vividly the realities of 19th-century village life in Bengal, the bustle of Kolkata at the opening of the 20th centuty – and the tension and anguish of Partition.
✨SYNOPSIS: From the title of the book, I misinterpreted this book as mere non-fiction, but to my surprise, the book has some other things to offer. The author has talked about his family saga and interlaced the story of the book with multiple generations. Beginning from the first generation from 1890, the book has been written with in-depth pieces of knowledge about partitions and a sense of gratitude towards the family as well.
✨NOVELTY: The author has introduced Bengal and India as well. Also, restlessness was commendably shown through words that were indeed articulate and seem real. How the author has shown their gratitude towards his ancestors is really amazing.
✨GUESSWORK: Also, this concept is quite novel for me. The language is indeed simple and flows beautifully.
✨LANGUAGE: Loved the polished language and crisp writing alot.
✨FINAL CALL: The cover flows beautifully with the story and it's a great book for someone if you are looking for some book with information.
